Keyu Jin

Dr. Keyu Jin is a Chinese economist and Associate Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics (LSE). She is the author of the book The New China Playbook. 
At LSE, she specialises in international macroeconomics and the Chinese economy. Her work has been published in several recognised academic journals. In addition to her academic work, Jin is the author of The New China Playbook: Beyond Socialism and Capitalism, which digs below the surface of the Chinese economy and examines how China became the successful economy it is today. The book garnered great praise from, among others, the former Prime Minister of Great Britain, Tony Blair, who describes Jin as a "brilliant thinker". 
Jin was born in Beijing and received her Bachelor's, Master's and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard University. Already in 2014, she was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. In 2022, Keyu Jin joined the Board of Credit Suisse. Jin has advised and consulted for the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. She has also had experience at various financial institutions including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley. Keyu Jin has contributed opinion pieces to media outlets like the Financial Times and the South China Morning Post.
