Monica Hsiao launched Triada Capital in 2015, after having started and built the Asia Credit Strategies business for CQS since end of 2009 (CQS is a USD 14 billion global multi-strategy hedge fund headquartered in London).

She had practiced corporate law, focused on closing deals in Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity for 5 years in New York before starting on her career in finance. She has over 17 years of global trading experience managing credit long-short fundamental strategies in emerging markets and developed markets. She worked at top tier global investment banks in London (including Nomura, Credit Suisse and Merrill Lynch) before moving to Asia. Monica has traded successfully through periods of volatility, through both up and down cycles including through the global financial crisis.

Monica holds a BA in Economics with Honors and Distinction and Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University; an MA in International Policy Studies from Stanford University; a JD from UCLA School of Law; and an MSc in Finance from the London School of Business. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
